SMF, Inc. was founded in Minonk, Illinois in 1972 as a metal manufacturing facility. Since then, we have opened an additional location in Anderson, South Carolina to expand our reach and serve customers across the country. SMF has subsequently evolved into a full-service fabrication and machining company with a combined total of 240,000 square feet of facility space.
As a Tier One supplier to OEMs, we are held to high-quality standards by our many Fortune 500 clients. Although we have grown to exceed the constantly growing demands of the industry, we have maintained our service-minded attitude for more than four decades. Today, we remain just as focused on client care and building quality relationships as we were in 1972.

In addition to being ISO 9001:2015 certified, we also try to employ some Six Sigma methodologies to maintain and improve our abilities, as well as review and consistently improve our processes. This data-driven approach helps eliminate defects in any of our systems so that our clients never have to lower their quality standards.
When you work with SMF, late deliveries are a thing of the past. We provide local delivery for certain products in our company-owned trucks, saving you money on shipping. For larger products or customers outside of our delivery area, our dedicated team will help you find the lowest freight cost with the quickest turnaround time.
