SMF takes tremendous pride in being one of the largest suppliers of heavy fabrications to the renewable energy industry. We build hundreds of embedment rings, template rings, bearing plates, and concrete forms each year. These parts help build wind turbine farms throughout North America. In order to meet our customer’s expectations, SMF frequently works with plates that are more than a full foot thick. These plates often get precision-machined and built into rings that span 20’ in width. SMF’s ability to handle the difficult tolerances and extremely large footprint of these parts creates a significant competitive advantage.
